How to view unread emails on Gmail?

There are two issues with the unread emails. Either you mistakenly missed an important email or are missing important emails because they are lost in the unread email space. It’s hard to identify import emails among dozens of unread emails.

You can search for a specific keyword in an email you didn’t yet read or sort all unread emails to mark them as read or delete them.

We will use a parameter in the Gmail search box to identify all unread emails.

The parameter is precisely the same for both the web and the mobile app. So, if you use the Gmail app, open the app on your smartphone or visit Gmail from a web browser.

There’s a search bar on Gmail. In that search bar, type is:unread and press Enter.

What is the purpose of this command?

It will browse your emails and identify those you never opened.

But sometimes, you may search for an important email you have yet to read.

In that scenario, the first type is:unread, then type your keyword. For example, if I am looking for an unread email from Semrush, my query will look like this:

is:unread Semrush

It will show all unread emails with that specific keyword.
