How To Schedule Send Emails On Gmail?

You can schedule your email if you want the recipient to receive the email at the most convenient time. Or schedule your emails at a specific time to avoid distraction and increase productivity. 

Gmail integrated email scheduling on its website and app. Not only new emails but also it’s possible to schedule replies. They have a folder called Scheduled, where you can find and delete all your scheduled emails.

Open a web browser and visit Gmail. If you want to schedule a new email, click the Compose button at the top left corner.

Write your email like usual; enter the recipient’s email, subject, and message. You can attach files or links, too, if you want.

If you want to send the email right now, press the Send button. But to schedule your email, click on the More send options icon beside Send button.

You can select a nearby date and time offered by Gmail. You can also set a custom date and time by clicking Pick date & time.

After selecting the date and time, tap on Schedule send. You can undo the scheduling by clicking Undo button within 30 seconds of pressing the Schedule send button.

Schedule emails on the Gmail app

It’s easy to schedule your emails on the Gmail app. Open the Gmail app on your smartphone. Tap on the Compose button to create a new email. 

Click on Compose

Enter the recipient, subject, and message of your email. Instead of tapping the Send icon, click on the menu icon in the top right corner.

Tap on Schedule send. It will open a pop-up on your screen. Gmail shows some preferable times and dates on your screen.

You can pick either of them or tap on Pick date & time to select your time and date. Then tap on Schedule send to schedule your email.

How to cancel a scheduled email?

You may schedule an email, but before Gmail sends it, it may not be necessary to send it anyway. In that case, you can cancel the scheduled send. 

Open a web browser on your computer and visit Gmail.com. It will take you to the Inbox folder of your Gmail account.

Tap on Scheduled on the left sidebar.

Open the email you want to cancel and tap on Cancel send. 

If you have the Gmail app on your smartphone, open it and tap the hamburger menu icon at the top left corner.

Open the scheduled email you want to cancel and tap on Cancel send. It will cancel sending the email, and it will move the email to the Drafts.
