How To Delete A Discord Server?
Every discord user is urged to create their own server at some point. But after creating a server, it requires a crazy amount of work to maintain and grow the server.
Creating a discord server is easy and takes only a few seconds. What matters most is whether your server is active or not.
If your server is no longer active, there’s no need to jam your discord sidebar with dead servers. Hence you can delete your servers to clean out your sidebar.
How to delete a discord server?
Step-1: Open the Discord app
Open the Discord app on your computer. You can also use Discord on a web browser. They are fully identical. Make sure to log in to the right account that has the servers.
Step-2: Go to Server Setting
Right-click on the server you own and want to delete. There are many options; click on Server Settings. It will take you to the settings page.
Note: You can transfer ownership of a discord server without deleting it if you want the server to stay alive.
Step-3: Go to Delete Server
The left sidebar is full of various options. Scroll down to the bottom of it and click on Delete Server.
Step-4: Delete Server
A pop-up will ask you to enter the server name in a text box. Enter the server name and press the Delete Server button.
Remember, if you delete your discord account, the account can be restored within the first 14 days. But if you delete a server, it’s removed instantly, and there’s no way to get it back once you press the Delete Server button.
How to delete a discord server from mobile?
- Open the Discord app on your smartphone.
- Press and hold the server icon you want to delete.
- Click on More Options.
- Click on Settings.
- Click on Delete Server.
- Insert the server name in the text box.
- Press the Delete Server button.
